Seagrave Fire Apparatus recently delivered a new ladder to the Oceanside Fire Department. The ladder, marked unit 2442, replaces the previous Pierce model and now gives the Oceanside Fire Deparment two Seagrave ladders [the other being Ladder 244, a 2009 model]. 2442 is built on a Marauder II Chassis, and at full extension the ladder reaches a hundred feet. The truck is powered by a Cummins ISM 500 HP Engine and the body is comprised of stainless steel. It is housed on Foxhurst Road with 244 and Ambulance 242 and is part of Salamnader Hook and Ladder Company No. 1. Best of luck to the OFD with the new truck!
