Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Day [3-19-16]

The 20th annual Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Day Parade was held on the afternoon of Saturday, March 19th, 2016 and led by Grand Marshal Michael O’Reilly. The annual event is broken down into award categories such as best military group, best fire department, best dance group, and best pipe band among others. A big part of the parade are the local businesses that help to make up the Rockville Centre community and get the opportunity to march. Proceeds from the parade are distributed to three charities and the overall goal is to promote “Irish heritage and culture, family and patriotic values.”
