ESU Officer Lopez Bridge Renaming [11-1-15]

A bridge renaming ceremony was held on Jamaica Avenue near the Cross Island Parkway on the morning of Sunday, November 1st, 2015, in honor of Nassau County Police Emergency Services Unit Officer Arthur Lopez who was shot and killed in the line of duty on October 23, 2012, following a traffic stop. The event took place a short distance from where Lopez was killed and was held on what would have been his thirty-third birthday.
