Post Avenue [9-15-15]

On the morning of Tuesday, September 15th, 2015 the Westbury Fire Department along with Nassau County Police and the MTA Police were notified of a truck versus overpass at the Post Avenue crossing. When first responders arrived on scene they found the trailer portion of a truck wedged underneath the low overpass with the tractor nowhere in sight. The front half of the truck was located approximately two blocks away with part of the trailer still attached. The trailer was slowly dragged from underneath the overpass and safely carted away from the scene. There were no injuries and fire department units were quickly released from the scene as no action was needed.
