Maple Drive [1-8-23]

In the early morning hours of Sunday, January 8th, 2023 the Amityville Fire Department was dispatched to a report of multiple cars on fire on Maple Drive off Broadway. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with three fully involved vehicles with fire extending to a wood fence and siding beginning to melt on a nearby commercial structure. Firefighters put two hand lines and one booster line into operation to extinguish the fire which was being fed by compromised fuel tanks. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and there were no reported injuries. Units from the North Amityville Fire Company were also on scene assisting. Amityville Chief of Department Budde [1-1-30] had command of the incident.
