Bayfront Drive [8-28-10]
Around midnight on Saturday, August 28th the Baldwin Fire Department was dispatched to 3275 Bayfront Drive in Baldwin Harbor for a car into a house. Upon arrival, units found a Mercedes-Benz which went through the garage of the home, just missing a car inside, as well as severing part of a bedroom. Baldwin units were under the command of First Assistant Chief Kevin Smith, who minutes later requested the presence of Freeport Truck Company. Minutes later, Baldwin and Freeport Truck Companies were joined by North Bellmore, who specializes in Technical Rescue. After an hour, the car was pulled from the house so that units could stabilize the structure of the home.
