Central Avenue [2-21-15]

On the afternoon of February 21st, 2015 the Baldwin Fire Department operated on the scene of a working fire at 2754 Central Avenue between Waverly Place and Church Street. The main body of fire was located in the basement of the home with minor extension to the first floor. Baldwin Engine 201 pulled in first due and stretched three lines with two lines going into operation. Two of the lines were stretched into the home while the third was located in the driveway on the number four side of the home. Baldwin Ladder 206 was the first truck company to arrive on the scene with Oceanside also present as the FAST with Ladder 244. Units from Freeport and Oceanside stood by for Baldwin during the operation. All fire department units were under the command of Baldwin Second Deputy Chief Frank Cesare [2052]. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
