Merrick Road [11-23-18]

On the night of Friday, November 23rd, 2018 the Baldwin Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at the laundromat on Merrick Road between Milburn and Central Avenues. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with smoke showing and upon further investigation found a fire in a sign on the building. Baldwin Engine 201 laid in and stretched a precautionary hand line. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and keep it from extending any further. All fire department units were under the command of Baldwin First Deputy Chief Ortiz [2051].
