Bellmore Avenue [8-29-21]

On the afternoon of Sunday, August 29th, 2021, the Bellmore Fire Department was called to smoke in the basement of a home on Bellmore Avenue off Wilson Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene and made their way into the residence, they confirmed the smoke condition. Merrick was requested to the scene for a ladder and responded with Ladder 6412. After investigating firefighters found burnt up wiring. The smoke was vented from within the home and units were released not long after.
