Clarissa Road [4-29-22]

The Bethpage Fire Department was called to a house fire on Clarissa Road between Joyce Place and Ludwig Lane on the night of Friday, April 29th, 2022. Bethpage Fire Dispatch advised responding units that a female called reporting an exterior fire that was extending to her home. Moments later, came a report from an Ex-Captain who was on scene recommending a working fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with fire showing from a one-story private dwelling leading to the transmission of a working fire and the request for mutual aid. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down keeping extension into the residence was to a minimum. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all occupants made it out of the residence safely. All fire department units were under the command of Bethpage Assistant Chief DeBobes Jr.
