Evelyn Avenue [3-15-21]

In the early morning hours of Monday, March 15th, 2021 the Carle Place Fire Department was called to a house fire in the vicinity of Albany Avenue and Broadmoor Lane. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with heavy fire showing from a home on Evelyn Avenue off Broadmoor Lane. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid notified. Moments later a second alarm was transmitted bringing additional resources to the scene and new companies to standby. Firefighters went on to put multiple hand lines into operation to fight the fire which was being fueled by strong winds. Fortunately, all occupants made it out of the home safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Carle Place Assistant Chief Geddish [9103].
