Ward Street [8-16-21]

On the night of Monday, August 16th, 2021, the Carle Place Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a working fire on Ward Street off Longwood Avenue. The fire was in the attached garage of a two-story private dwelling. Firefighters had the main body of fire quickly knocked down and were able to contain it to the garage area. Among the departments called for mutual aid was Westbury, Mineola, Garden City, and Roslyn. All occupants made it out of the home safely and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
