Oak Street [8-7-22]

In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 7th, 2022, the Copiague Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a working fire on Oak Street off South Strong Avenue. Firefighters stretched and operated two hand lines for a dumpster fire with extension into a commercial structure. North Lindenhurst, North Amityville, and Lindenhurst were among the neighboring departments called for mutual aid. The scene was placed under control within thirty minutes and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
