Route 110 [7-10-22]
On the evening of Sunday, July 10th, 2022, the East Farmingdale Fire Company was dispatched to a general alarm at 388 Route 110 for a report of a truck on fire inside of a building. As units were on the way they were met with smoke showing from a distance. Upon further investigation the fire was found to be in a one-story commercial building set back off Route 110. East Farmingdale Engine 1-5-7 laid in from the hydrant and put one hand line into operation for a truck that was on fire and partially inside of a building. Firefighters had the fire quickly knocked down and were able to keep it from extending into the structure. South Farmingdale was assigned as the RIT and responded to the scene with Ladder 978. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of East Farmingdale Chief of Department Duane Welliver [1-5-30].
