Erma Drive [7-5-19]

On the afternoon of Friday, July 5th, 2019 the East Meadow Fire Department operated on the scene of a house fire on Erma Drive off Dorothy Drive. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with smoke showing and found fire at the rear [two, three corner] of a two-story private dwelling. Prior to the fire department’s arrival, a garden hose was used to contain the fire. Firefighters put one hand line into operation to extinguish the remaining fire and overhauled the area to check for extension. No working fire was transmitted; however, the fire marshal was requested to the scene to investigate the fire. All fire department units were under the command of East Meadow First Assistant Chief Walsh [6101].
