Green Valley Road [12-11-20]

In the early morning hours of Friday, December 11th, 2020 the East Meadow Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Green Valley Road off Peters Avenue. The main body of fire was in the basement of a two-story private dwelling. North Bellmore was designated the FAST for the operation. Firefighters stretched three hand lines and put two of those lines into operation. The main body of fire was quickly knocked down and there was no extension to the floors above. All occupants made it safely out of the home and went on to refuse further medical attention. Units from Levittown, North Merrick, and North Bellmore stood by for East Meadow during operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of East Meadow Chief of Department Walsh [6100].
