Elmont Installation [4-30-22]

The Elmont Fire Department held its ninety-fourth annual installation dinner and dance on the night of Saturday, April 30th, 2022. The evening, which began with presentation of colors by the Department Color Guard and the invocation by Father Kevin Smith, had Elmont Fire Commissioner Andrew Bohnet as the Master of Ceremonies. The Department’s Administrative Officers, Line Officers, Chiefs, Ladies Auxiliary members and the President of Junior Post 709 were all officially installed into office. Ex-Chief Ronald Conti was recognized for his time spent in the Chiefs Office and Elmont Engine Company No. 1 was honored for a century of service to the community. Various members of the Elmont Fire Department were awarded for their milestone years of service. Most notable was Honorary Chief Raymond Ross of Engine Company No. 2 and Ex-Chief James Snadecky of Engine Company No. 3 – each with fifty years of service. Leading the Elmont Fire Department in the year ahead will be Chief of Department Michael Santina along with Assistant Chiefs Segovia, Lucas, and Dubas. Congratulations to those awarded and good luck to those installed into office.
