Goshen Street [11-2-17]

The Elmont Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 66 Goshen Street off Albany Street in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 2nd, 2017. Responding fire department units were advised by Nassau County Fire Communications that one 911 call was received reporting smoke from the roof. Elmont Third Assistant Chief Schriefer [7013] was among the first to arrive on scene and reporting smoke from showing from the home. Moments later he transmitted a signal ten for an attic fire in a two-story private dwelling. Two lines stretched with one going into operation. Valley Stream was designated the FAST for the operation and firefighters made a quick knockdown of the fire. All fire department units were under the command of Elmont Chief of Department Ronald Conti [7010].
