Lehrer Avenue [5-5-22]

The Elmont Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on the morning of Thursday, May 5th, 2022. The fire was in a bedroom on the second floor of a two-story private dwelling on Lehrer Avenue off Surprise Street [diagonally across from Elmont Fire Headquarters]. Elmont Engine 703 and Ladder 708 were the first engine and truck companies to arrive on scene. Firefighters put one hand line into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. All occupants made it out of the home safely and Elmont Chief of Department Santina [7010] had command of the incident.
