Locustwood Boulevard [11-7-20]

On the night of Saturday, November 7th, 2020 the Elmont Fire Department was called to a house fire on Locustwood Boulevard off Hempstead Turnpike. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a fire on the second floor of a two-story private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid requested. Floral Park was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 123. Elmont Engine 703 was the first engine company to arrive on scene and put one hand line into operation. The fire was quickly knocked down and mutual aid canceled. All occupants made it out of the home safely and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Elmont Chief of Department Conti [7010].
