P Street [8-15-21]

On the afternoon of Sunday, August 15th, 2021, the Elmont Fire Department operated on the scene of a working fire on P Street off Meacham Avenue. The main body of fire was located on the first floor of a two-story private dwelling. Firefighters stretched two hand lines, put one hand line into operation, and had the fire quickly knocked down before it could extend further. Valley Stream and Franklin Square were among the departments called for mutual aid. All occupants made it out of the home safely and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
