209th Place [12-24-22]

On the morning of Saturday, December 24th, 2022, FDNY firefighters operated on the scene of a 10-75 on 209th Place off 111th Avenue in the Queens Village section of Queens. Firefighters battled heavy fire throughout a two and half story peaked roof private dwelling in below freezing temperatures. During the operation a second alarm was transmitted bringing additional resources into the scene. This was soon followed by the order to use an exterior operation due to rapidly deteriorating fire conditions within the structure. Later into the operation a third alarm was transmitted for relief purposes. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
