Firefighter Tolley Procession [4-21-17]
Dozens of fire apparatus and hundreds of firefighters from Nassau and Suffolk Counties along with FDNY took positions along the procession route for Firefighter William Tolley on the afternoon of Friday, April 21st, 2017. Firefighter William Tolley, of FDNY Ladder 135, made the ultimate sacrifice while operating at a second alarm fire [Box 4017] on the afternoon of Thursday, April 20th, 2017. The procession went from Manhattan to Chapey and Sons Funeral Home in Bethpage where services will take place. William Tolley was a past member of the Hicksville Fire Department and was a current member of the Bethpage Fire Department. Tolley leaves behind his wife and eight-year-old daughter along with the many people who knew and loved him. Rest in peace William Tolley.
