Main Street [5-25-20]

On the afternoon of Monday, May 25th, 2020 the Farmingdale Fire Department was called to a building fire at the Farmingdale Post Office on Main Street. Upon arrival firefighters found an exterior light on fire on the number one side of the building. The crew of Ladder 926 forced entry into the building to check for extension and secure the power. Members of Engine 921 stretched a hand line that was briefly put into operation. The fire was quickly knocked down and there was no extension. South Farmingdale responded to the scene with Engine 972 as part of an automatic mutual aid plan. All fire department units were under the command of Farmingdale Chief of Department DiBartolo [9201].
