North Maple Street [6-28-20]
On the night of Sunday, June 28th, 2020 the Farmingdale Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on North Maple Street off Secatogue Avenue. The fire was located on the first floor of a two-story private dwelling. East Farmingdale was designated the FAST for the operation and responded with Heavy Rescue 1-5-3. Also, on scene was Bethpage Ladder 3 and Engine 5, North Massapequa Heavy Rescue 664, and South Farmingdale Engine 972 [the automatic mutual aid engine on the phone alarm]. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. The scene was placed under control within twenty-five minutes. Units from Melville and Plainview stood by for Farmingdale during the operation. All fire department units were under the command of Farmingdale Chief of Department DiBartolo [9201].
