Esposito Tournament [5-28-16]

On May 18th, 2011 the Baldwin Fire Department suffered the loss of Ex-Captain Michael Esposito who died in the line of duty at a Grand Avenue house fire. Just five years after the ex-captain’s passing Hose Company One of the Baldwin Fire Department held the first annual Ex-Captain Michael Esposito Old Fashioned Drill on the afternoon of Saturday, May 28th, 2016. The event was held to raise money for a scholarship which will be named after Esposito and took place at Firemen’s Field in Baldwin. The Ballbreakers from Bellmore took first place with the Freeport Nighthawks taking second. The event not only raised funds for the scholarship but helped to ensure Michael Esposito’s name lives on.
