Mayfair Avenue [4-26-21]
On the evening of Monday, April 26th, 2021 the Floral Park Fire Department was called to a house fire on Mayfair Avenue off Pine Avenue. The first fire units to arrive on scene were met with fire showing at the three, four corners of the residence leading to the transmission of a signal ten [working fire] and mutual aid being notified. Floral Park Ladder 123 and Engine 127 were the first truck and engine companies to arrive on scene. Firefighters went on to stretch and operate multiple hand lines for fire on all floors of the three-story private dwelling. New Hyde Park, Garden City Park, Elmont, and Stewart Manor were among the neighboring departments called for mutual aid. All occupants made it safely out of the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Floral Park Chief of Department Saville [1200].
