FSMFD 9/11 Ceremony [9-8-19]

On the evening of Sunday, September 8th, 2019 the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department hosted their annual 9/11 ceremony. The event was held at the town’s 9/11 memorial on Naple Avenue opposite Rath Park. Several dignitaries and residents were in attendance to mark the 18th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. During the ceremony the names of those lost from Franklin Square [along with others] were read. Each time a name was read a rose was placed on the piece of steel recovered from the World Trade Center that helps to make up the town’s memorial.
