Magnolia Drive [2-27-16]
On the morning of Saturday, February 27th, 2016 the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a dryer fire at 787 Magnolia Drive off of Palmetto Drive. Franklin Square First Assistant Chief John Salzman was among the first to arrive on scene and was met with smoke showing from a one story private dwelling. Moments later he transmitted the signal ten [working fire]. Malverne was notified for the FAST and responded with Ladder 434. Elmont responded with Ladder 707 in place of Franklin Ladder 713 who was out of service at the time of the fire. West Hempstead Ladder 765 responded to the scene as an additional truck company. Franklin Square Engine 2 pulled was the first engine company to arrive on scene and had two lines in operation. the cause of the fire was under investigation and no injuries were reported. All fire department units were under the command of Franklin Square First Assistant Chief John Salzman [7101].
