Bedell Street [4-12-15]

At 05:52 hours on the morning of Sunday, April 12th, 2015 the Freeport Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with fire at 131 Bedell Street between Southside Avenue and Archer Street. When units arrived on scene they were met with a two vehicle accident with a working car fire. Freeport Engine 211 was the first engine company to arrive on scene and had one line in operation to extinguish the car fire. It was later discovered that one vehicle was parked at the time of the accident and had no one inside. One person was transported from the scene to an area hospital. All fire department units were under the command of Second Assistant Chief Kenny Vancott [2102].
