Atlantic and South Bayview [6-30-12]

On the afternoon of June 30th, 2012 the Freeport Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with overturn and entrapment at the corner of Atlantic and South Bayview Avenues. Upon arrival, the first units on scene found that there was no one trapped and one aided at the time. Engine 211, Ladder 217, Rescue 217-2, and Ambulance 219 responded to the scene, under the command of Third Assistant Chief Butler. The one aided on scene came from the overturned auto and had self-extricated prior to the fire department’s arrival. The aided was transported by County ambulance to an area hospital. The second driver was not injured in the accident. After fire department units took up the accident was left in the hands of Freeport Police.
