Meadowbrook State Parkway [5-14-12]

At 23:56 hours, the Freeport Fire Department was toned out for a car fire on the Meadowbrook Parkway in the southbound lanes just north of Exit M7 [Babylon Turnpike]. Engines 212, 215, and 216 were called to the scene along with Fire Police 21-11. Chief Baer [2100] was amongst the first on scene and confirmed the burning vehicle’s location. Engine 216 pulled first due and extinguished the fire with Engine 215 pulling second due. After the fire was knocked down the scene was left in the hands of New York State Police.
