North Main and Randall [12-22-13]
At 19:14 hours on the night of December 22nd, 2013 the Freeport Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of North Main Street and Randall Avenue. Engines 211, 212, 216 along with Truck Company and Ambulance 219 were assigned and responded to the alarm. Upon arriving units were met with a two vehicle accident with one person confirmed pinned inside their auto. Freeport Heavy Rescue 217-2 was quickly on scene with the tool in operation and within minutes had the victim extricated. Three people were transported from the accident to area hospitals via Freeport Fire Department Ambulance 219, Nassau County Ambulance 2351, and Bellmore Merrick EMS Ambulance 283. All fire department units were the command of Freeport Chief of Department Stanley Kistela [2100]. One the aided were transported the scene was left in the hands of Freeport Police.
