South Main Street [11-7-16]
At 05:38 hours on the morning of Monday, November 7th, 2016 the Freeport Fire Department was dispatched to a reported car versus building at the intersection of South Main and Raynor Streets. When fire department units arrived on scene they were met with a single vehicle accident with only the driver inside and a confirmed car into a building at 241 South Main Street. The driver was transported to an area hospital by a Nassau County Police Ambulance with unknown injuries. Freeport Truck worked to shore up the building. Engines 211 and 216 were also on the scene. All fire department units were under the command of Freeport Second Assistant Chief Alfredo Ruiz [2102]. The scene was left in the hands of the Freeport Building Department.
