West Sunrise Highway [3-9-21]

On the night of Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 the Freeport Fire Department was called to an automatic fire alarm at BMW of Freeport [291 West Sunrise Highway off South Bayview Avenue]. As the first companies got were on the road Fire Com provided the updated information that units were responding to a car into the building. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a confirmed car into the showroom area of the dealership. Despite significant damage to the building and vehicles for sale there was no entrapment or serious injuries. The North Bellmore Technical Rescue Team was called to the scene to assist in operations. The cause of the accident is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Freeport Chief of Department Scott Braun [2100].
