Glen Cove Ladder 5211 Wet Down [9-28-19]

On the afternoon of Saturday, September 28th, 2019 a wet down ceremony was held behind Glen Cove fire headquarters for the new Glen Cove Ladder 5211 – a 2018 Seagrave. The new rig replaces its Seagrave predecessor which served the city for over three decades. On hand for the event were several representatives from the City of Glen Cove [including the Mayor] and multiple fire departments. Before the wet down various people spoke about the rig, it’s importance, and all those who helped make it possible. Two bottles of champagne were also broken – one by the Mayor and one by the most senior member of the company. The best of luck to the company with their new apparatus.
