Rooney Court [5-9-20]

At approximately 20:11 hours on the night of Saturday, May 9th, 2020 the Glen Cove Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on Rooney Court in the dead end off Colonial Gate. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with fire around the attic area on the number four side of a two-story private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid notified. Sea Cliff was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 574. Firefighters stretched and operated at least two hand lines and the fire quickly knocked down. Among the other departments called for mutual aid was Glenwood, Oyster Bay, Locust Valley. All occupants made it safely out of the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
