Great Neck Vigilant Engine 8314 Wet Down [8-13-11]

On the afternoon of Saturday, August 13th, 2011 Great Neck's Vigilant Fire Company held a wetdown ceremony for two recently acquired pieces of apparatus. They are Engine 8314 [a 2010 Ferrara Inferno Pumper] and Taxi 8311 [a 2010 Chevy Medtec Ambulance] both based out of the Cuttermill Road Station. To help christen the new apparatus, engines from within the battalion and surronding towns were on hand for the event. Amongst the Engines providing water were Sea Cliff Engine 572, East Williston Engine 811, Albertson Engine 804, Plandone Engine 842, and Williston Park 861. Also on scene were a pair of classic American LaFrances from the Great Neck Fire Department and a presence of Manhasset-Lakeville members.
