Circle Drive [2-14-21]

On the evening of Sunday, February 14th, 2021 the Hempstead Fire Department was called to a house fire on Circle Drive off Martin Luther King Drive. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with smoke showing from a two-story private dwelling. Upon further investigation fire was found in the basement of the residence leading to the transmission of a working fire. Mutual aid was notified and responded from West Hempstead [FAST], Rockville Centre, Roosevelt, and South Hempstead, among others. Firefighters put at least two hand lines into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. All occupants made it out of the home safely and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire department units were under the command of Hempstead Chief of Department Boles [80].
