Robinwood Avenue [12-7-18]

At 11:56 hours on the night of Friday, December 7th, 2018 the Hempstead Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at home on Robinwood Avenue off Greenwich Street. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with heavy fire showing from the number two and three sides of a two-story private dwelling. A working fire was transmitted, and mutual aid notified. West Hempstead, South Hempstead, Rockville Centre, and Lakeview were among the departments called. Hempstead Engine 2 was the first engine company to arrive on scene and had at least two hand lines stretched to fight the fire. The scene was placed under control within one hour and all fire department units were under the command of Hempstead Assistant Chief Clark.
