Angevine Avenue [7-28-19]

On the night of Sunday, June 28th, 2019 the Hempstead Fire Department was called to smoke from the attached garage at a home on Angevine Avenue off Eldridge Place. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with smoke showing from the garage of a two-story private dwelling. Upon further investigation firefighters found that the back of a garage refrigerator caught fire with minor extension to the wall behind. West Hempstead was notified as a FAST and responded with Ladder 765. One hand line was put into operation and one occupant was evaluated on scene by medical personnel. There was no working fire transmitted and all fire department units were under the command of Hempstead First Assistant Chief Boles [81].
