Albemarle Avenue [3-25-21]

In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 25th, 2021 the Hempstead Fire Department along with mutual aid units operated on the scene of a working fire on Albemarle Avenue between Nostrand Place and Henry Street. Firefighters put three hand lines into operation off Hempstead Hose 2 for a vehicle fire with extension to two private dwellings. Among the departments called for mutual aid was West Hempstead, South Hempstead, and Uniondale. All occupants made it safely out of both residences and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The original time of alarm was 03:44 hours and the scene placed under control forty-two minutes later at 04:26 hours. All fire department units were under the command of Hempstead Chief of Department Kyle Boles [80].
