Long Beach Road [8-19-21]

In the early morning hours of Thursday, August 19th, 2021, the Hempstead Fire Department was called to a basement fire at a home on Long Beach Road off Botsford Street. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with a confirmed fire in the basement of a two-story private dwelling. Southside Ladder 2 then notified Fire Alarm Central to transmit a working fire. Firefighters put one hand line into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down before it could extend further. All occupants made it safely out of the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
