Milford Street [3-20-21]

On the night of Saturday, March 20th, 2021 the Hempstead Fire Department operated on the scene of a working fire on Milford Street off Hoff Court. The main body of fire was in the attic of a two and a half story private dwelling. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation off Hempstead Engine 5 and had the fire quickly knocked down. Uniondale, West Hempstead, and Lakeview were among the departments called for mutual aid. Despite early reports of people possibly trapped in the home all occupants made it out of the residence safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Hempstead Chief of Department Kyle Boles [80].
