South Franklin and East Marshall [12-7-22]

On the night of Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, the Hempstead Fire Department operated on the scene of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of South Franklin Street and East Marshall Street. A BMW SUV lost control in the intersection sending it through a fence and into two parked cars located in the driveway of a nearby residence. As a result, the SUV required stabilization so that the driver and passenger inside could be safely removed. After stabilizing the vehicle and jacking one of the parked cars away to create space the occupants were extricated. Neither of them was seriously injured. All fire department units were under the command of Hempstead Chief of Department Sandas [80].
