Bunker Lane [3-9-19]

At 07:33 hours on the morning of Saturday, March 9th, 2019 the Hicksville Fire Department was called to a bedroom fire at a house on Bunker Lane. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with heavy fire showing from a two-story private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted. Despite the significant amount of fire an aggressive attack was made, and firefighters made a quick knockdown of the fire. Among the departments called for mutual aid were East Meadow, Bethpage, and Plainview. Two occupants from the home were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Hicksville Chief of Department Chiz [9301].
