Fern Drive [8-6-19]

On the morning of Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 the Jericho Fire Department was called to a house fire on Fern Drive [East] off Marian Lane. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with fire on the first floor of a two story, vacant private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was trnamsitted and mutual aid notified. Among the departments called for mutual aid was Syosset, Westbury, and Hicksville. Firefighters put one hand line into operation off Jericho Engine 942 resulting in a quick knock down and of the fire. Standing by for Jericho during the operation was Bethpage Engine 9044 and Plainview Ladder 9533. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
