Scaneateles Avenue [3-7-19]

In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 7th, 2019 the Lakeview Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire]. The fire was in a vacant home on Scaneateles Avenue off Mahopac Road. Three hand lines were stretched with at least two lines put into operation. Mutual aid was called from Malverne, West Hempstead, Hempstead, Lynbrook, and Elmont among others. The cause of the fire which was believed to have begun in the basement of the home is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Lakeview Chief of Department Sal Sinatro [4100].
