Washington Avenue [1-10-19]

The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] at the Hebrew Academy on Washington Avenue off Broadway in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 10th, 2019. The main body of fire was located on the second floor of an approximately 300 x 300 school. Two hand lines were stretched during the operation with at least one line put into operation. Among the departments called for mutual aid were Inwood, Long Beach, Woodmere, Hewlett, and Lakeview among others. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
