Ex-Chief Sager Funeral [1-16-21]

On January 10th, 2021 Levittown Ex-Chief John “Jack” Sager [Badge #118] passed away. Ex-Chief Sager was a fifty-eight-year member of the department assigned to Ladder Company No. 1 of which he was still active. A wake was held on the night of Thursday, January 14th and again in the afternoon of and on the night of Friday, January 15th. A firematic service was held on Friday night at 8 p.m. with members present in class A uniform. A funeral service was held on the morning of Saturday, January 16th at Chapey’s Funeral Home in Bethpage – the same location where the two days of visitation was held. Following the funeral service burial took place at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury. Ex-Chief Sager leaves behind a large family from his wife down to his great-grandchildren as well as those who knew him inside and outside of the Levittown Fire Department.
